BBD is a movement 20 years in the making. 2001 was the start of my journey into the plus-size movement I’ve always been fond of bigger women. The company was created in the heart of New York City back in April 2006 by Fleo Black. Fleo Black has been a plus-size advocate for over 20 years, so this story starts in 2001. We are one of the original body positivity companies and shortly after that the company expanded to the Bronx and Brooklyn. Then it was relaunched in Dayton, Ohio in 2018. We are a registered entity according to state law. We are now located near Hollywood, Florida. Check back here later as we are still writing this story.
